    Description:

With us, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring that the turbos are authentic. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. For instance, a 1000-hour durability test is conducted on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Lab, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, fine balanced, and oil and water cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differ from the normal GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to more power and a slightly better response. It is important for the ball bearing turbochargers not to receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil inlet. A ball-bearing turbo typically responds about 400-500 RPMs earlier than a journal bearing one. For selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or verify directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you will find all the information like exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings.
