    Description:

Here, you will get an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, thereby ensuring the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory, thrust bearing test, checking the maximum tolerance of the bearing system, as well as material fatigue, and a vibration test, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T Series which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differentiates from the standard GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to more power and slightly better response. It’s important for ball-bearing turbochargers to not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for oil supply. A ball-bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve-bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or directly verify on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All details such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings are there.
