    Description:

Here, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these directly from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are authentic. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subject the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top-notch product. A 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Laboratory is conducted, along with a thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, material fatigue, and a vibration test is carried out, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball-bearing, precision-balanced, and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T Series, which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT in that it features a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, leading to increased performance and slightly better response. Its important for ball-bearing turbos not to receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an  Oil Restrictor with a 0.9mm hole is used. A ball-bearing turbo typically responds about 400-500 rpm sooner than a sleeve bearing one. For the right turbo selection, please ask us or check directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you can find all information like exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings.
