    Description:

    With us, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring that the turbos are authentic. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top-quality product. Among others, a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Lab, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is tested, as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is conducted, etc.

     

    The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precisely balanced and cooled by oil and water. Theres also the older generation T series which are mostly sleeve bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades which leads to increased performance and slightly better response. It is important for ball bearing turbochargers that they dont receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an Oil Restrictor with a 0.9mm drilling is used. A ball-bearing turbo reacts approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a sleeve bearing turbo.
