    Description:

With us, you receive an original Garrett Turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors,so you can be sure the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always get a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering Lab, thrust bearing tests, maximum tolerance checks of the bearing system, material fatigue, a vibration test, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX Series are all dual ball bearing, precision balanced, and oil and water cooled. Then there is the older generation T Series which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX Series differs from the standard GT in that it features a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades which leads to increased output and slightly improved response. Its essential that the ball bearing turbochargers do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm hole is used. A ball bearing turbo typically responds about 400-500 RPM sooner than a plain bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturers website http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you will find all the information like exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings.
