Description:From our shop, you will receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, ensuring that you receive genuine products. Garrett stands out as one of the few turbocharger manufacturers subjecting their products to multiple qualification tests, guaranteeing top-notch quality. These tests include a 1000-hour durability test conducted on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, pressure bearing tests, examination of maximum tolerance of the bearing system, fatigue testing of materials, and vibration testing, among others.
The Garrett GT and GTX series turbochargers are all double ball bearing, finely balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. There's also the older generation T series, which are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differs from the regular GT series in that they feature a special, larger compressor wheel with multiple blades, resulting in increased performance and slightly better response. It's important to note that ball bearing turbochargers should not receive excessive oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used in the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbocharger typically responds around 400-500 RPM earlier than a journal bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, feel free to consult with us or verify directly on the manufacturer's website at http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There, you'll find all the details such as exhaust housing options, product descriptions, performance maps, and drawings.
