    Description:

With us, you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, thus you can be assured that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. This includes a 1000-hour durability test on an engine in a Garrett Engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, checking the maximum tolerance of the bearing system as well as material fatigue, and a vibration test is conducted etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly plain bearings. The GTX-Series differs from the regular GT, in the aspect that these have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades leading to increased power and slightly better response. It is important for the ball bearing turbocharger not to receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an Oil Restrictor with a 0.9mm drilling is used. A ball bearing turbo comparatively responds approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a journal bearing turbo. When selecting the correct turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturers homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There, all specifications such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings are available.
