Description:

Here you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, thus you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers which subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. Among other tests, a 1000-hour endurance test is conducted on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, bearing play test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, as well as material fatigue, and a vibration test is conducted, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball-bearing, precisely balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series is differentiated from the normal GT by having a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to higher performance and somewhat better response. Its important for ball-bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. Thus, an oil restrictor  with a 0.9mm bore is used. A ball-bearing turbo generally responds approximately 400-500 RPM sooner than a plain bearing one.
